J.T. Brander - Drums / Snake-Oil Salesman
Once upon a time he was known as the dark shadow lurking behind the skins for the Real Mackenzies, JP5 and a dozen other Vancouver-based bands ... before being mis-appropriated by Big John Bates. Currently the main man on the throne, Jamestown has been into the band since 2003 and is not likely to give it up without a fight. Beginning at the tender age of 16, he developed a style that he describes as a cross between Gene Krupa and Marky Ramone that he has showcased in clubs from the Yukon to the Honduras. And he makes his BJB recording debut on the new album Bangtown. J.T.'s preferred gear include Gretsch drums and Sabian cymbals, in order to make the sounds that get the crowd moving. He currently rocks a set of custom Canwoods that were designed for Expo '86 in Vancouver and keeps his set of Gretsches for touring in Europe. |
