J.T. Brander - Drums / Snake-Oil Salesman

Once upon a time he was known as the dark shadow lurking behind the skins for the Real Mackenzies, JP5 and a dozen other Vancouver-based bands ... before being mis-appropriated by Big John Bates. Currently the main man on the throne, Jamestown has been into the band since 2003 and is not likely to give it up without a fight.

Beginning at the tender age of 16, he developed a style that he describes as a cross between Gene Krupa and Marky Ramone that he has showcased in clubs from the Yukon to the Honduras. And he makes his BJB recording debut on the new album Bangtown.

J.T.'s preferred gear include Gretsch drums and Sabian cymbals, in order to make the sounds that get the crowd moving. He currently rocks a set of custom Canwoods that were designed for Expo '86 in Vancouver and keeps his set of Gretsches for touring in Europe.

Stuart "L'il Bastard" Quayle - Drums / Motorcycle Racer

Backing up J.T. is Liverpool's L'il Bastard. LB was the BJB backbeat between the recording of "Mystiki" and "Take Your Medicine", logging over 80 shows with BJB between 2002 & 2004 in the USA, Canada and Europe. He is also on a few songs on the new BJB album Bangtown.

A month after tenuously agreeing to join BJB, his first show
was headlining the infamous 2002 Halloween party at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Many lurid tales later, L'il Bastard is currently playing with various local Vancouver bands although he still gets conscripted for BJB shows when least expected.

Stuart is a hard-hitting rock drummer from the school of bands like the Jam and the Clash. He also runs Vancouver's Euro-motorcycle club 'Tonup BC' ... and knocks out the beats on his endorsed set of black custom maple Gretsches!
